Let AI edit Notes and Canvas

The Agent can write in your notes, build and rearrange Canvas boards, organize Collections and write Wiki pages. It never does this behind your back.

Review a change

When the Agent wants to change something, the change appears in the Agent panel under the request, marked Waiting for approval:

  • Notes show the lines added and removed, so you can read exactly what will change.
  • Canvas changes list the cards, frames and connections being added, moved or removed.
  • Deletions say what will go to the Trash.

Choose Approve to apply it, or Reject to drop it. The Agent sees your choice and carries on.

Your edits come first

If you're editing the same note, the Agent works against your current draft. If its change no longer fits what you've written, it reports a conflict instead of overwriting your words.

Undo

Approved changes are ordinary edits. On a board, Undo reverses an Agent change like any other. Deleted notes and boards go to the Trash.

What it can do

  • Notes: write, revise or extend a note, add source links, create new notes.
  • Canvas: add cards for books, quotes and notes, arrange them, frame them and connect them.
  • Collections: add items, or set up rules so a Collection fills itself.
  • Wiki: keep a private Wiki of what it has learned about your library.

Automatic approval

If you'd rather not approve routine edits one by one, turn on Automatically apply agent actions in Settings → AI → Permissions. You can turn it off at any time. The Agent can never change this setting itself.
