Troubleshooting

My computer won't let me install

Beta installers aren't signed yet, so Windows and macOS may warn about them, and some managed computers block them. The install guides show how to open an installer from your invitation. If your organization manages the computer, ask its IT team; don't turn off your computer's security.

Sign-in doesn't finish

Sign-in happens in your browser. When the browser says you're done, go back to Xandria. If nothing happens, choose Cancel sign-in and try again. Your library on this computer isn't affected.

Xandria can't connect

Check your internet connection. Downloaded books, and everything in Local mode, still open while you're offline, and your changes sync once you reconnect. You don't need to reinstall or delete anything.

If you use your own server, check its address under Advanced on the Welcome screen.

Sync isn't available for my account

Settings → Account says so if sync hasn't been switched on for your account yet. Choose Check sync access to look again. Your library on this computer keeps working in the meantime.

Sync setup stopped

Open Xandria again: setup carries on from where it stopped. If it asks, choose Retry setup, or Sign in again if your sign-in expired. See Turn on sync.

"Your Personal Cloud library was replaced"

Your account's library was replaced from another computer. Choose Use Cloud on this device to open the current library.

A book won't open

  • With sync on: you may be offline and the book isn't downloaded. Reconnect, or download it next time with Download locally.
  • In Local mode: its file may have moved, or its drive may be unplugged. Reconnect the drive, or use Locate… to find the file.

My work won't save before closing

Keep Xandria open and try again. If it keeps failing, note the error and reply to your invitation. Don't delete Xandria's data folder; it holds your unsaved work. See Recover your work.

An update fails to verify

Cancel the download and try again. Never run an installer whose checksum doesn't match. If it keeps failing, reply to your invitation with the version and error.

Your library. Your reading. Your work.
