Replace Cloud with this library

Replace Cloud with this library makes this computer's library the library in your account. Everything in your account is replaced; nothing is merged.

Use it when your account's library has gone wrong and the copy on this computer is the one you trust. For everyday syncing, turn on sync and merge instead.

Before you start

• This computer must be in Local mode. If it's syncing, first turn off sync on this device, so it has a complete copy of its own.
• Make sure this library is the one you want. Anything that exists only in your account (books, Notes, Canvas boards and everything else) is deleted. There is no recovery copy.

Do it

1. Open Settings → Account and expand Troubleshooting.
2. Under Replace Cloud with this library, choose Review Cloud replacement….
3. Review what will be uploaded and choose Prepare replacement. Xandria uploads and verifies this library without changing your account yet.
4. Read the final warning and choose Replace Cloud and delete its current library.

Until that last step, Cancel setup leaves your account untouched.

Afterwards

• This computer syncs with the new library.
• Other computers can't sync their old changes any more. Each shows Your Personal Cloud library was replaced; choose Use Cloud on this device there. Their unsynced changes are discarded.
• Phones and tablets reload the new library on their own.
• Your book files on disk are never deleted.
