Trash and restore
Deleting a note, board, Wiki page, Collection, reading list or book moves it to the Trash. Nothing you delete in Xandria is gone straight away.
Restore something
- Choose Trash at the bottom of the rail.
- Find the item. Filter by type (Notes, Canvases, Collections, Wiki, Reading lists or Books) or search by title.
- Choose Restore.
Items stay in the Trash for 90 days, then they're deleted for good. To delete something sooner, choose Delete permanently. That can't be undone.
If a note was in a Collection that's also in the Trash, restore the Collection first.
Books in the Trash
Open the book in Manage Library and choose Move to Trash…. A restored book comes back with its highlights, notes and reading position.
- In Local mode, Xandria never deletes your book files. It offers Move to Trash… only once a book's file is gone from its linked folder, so a book can't disappear just because a drive is unplugged.
- With sync on, moving a book to the Trash removes it from all your devices. It still counts towards your storage until the Trash is emptied. A linked folder won't add it back on its own; restore it from the Trash instead.
Your notebook for a book, and any notes that link to it, are kept even when the book is deleted for good.
Device recovery
Device recovery, in the Trash, holds work saved on this computer that never reached your library, for example after a crash during an edit. Preview it, then choose Recover a copy to keep it, or Discard… if you don't need it.
