Research a question with AI
You'll end up with an answer you've checked against the sources, saved in a note or on a board with links to every page it relies on.
You need a model set up in Settings → AI. See Set up AI.
1. Ask a specific question
Open Agent from the rail and ask something your library can answer, such as:
How do legged robots keep their balance on soft or uneven ground, according to the papers I have?
The Agent searches your books and papers, reads the passages it finds and writes an answer. It cites the pages it used.
2. Check the sources
Open the paper at the page the answer names and read the passage: does it say what the answer claims? The page references are there so you never have to take the answer on trust.
3. Dig deeper
Ask follow-ups: "Which of these were tested on real robots?" or "Find an older source that describes the same idea." Select a passage you're reading and ask about it directly.
4. Keep what you found
Ask the Agent to save the result:
- "Write a note summarizing this, with links to each source."
- "Make a board with these papers and the quotes you used."
- "Add the papers you cited to my Locomotion Collection."
Each change appears for review first: read it, then choose Approve or Reject. See Let AI edit Notes and Canvas.
5. Make it yours
Edit the note in your own words, add what the AI missed and delete what you don't agree with. It's your note now, linked to the evidence.
